Our client, a fast-growing IT advisory firm, is looking for a Microsoft Billing Automation Specialist to join their operations team. In this role, you’ll own the configuration, management, and optimization of a billing automation system built on Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Work365. Your primary mission: ensure seamless, accurate, and scalable billing operations across cloud services.

As the key point of contact for billing automation, you’ll work across departments to troubleshoot system issues, manage subscription lifecycles, fine-tune billing logic, and optimize provisioning workflows. You’ll support finance, sales, and IT teams while liaising with Work365 support when needed. This is a highly collaborative role suited for someone who’s detail-oriented, systems-savvy, and eager to improve workflows and revenue accuracy through automation.

Job Responsibilities:

Billing System Oversight
  • Maintain and monitor the Work365 automation platform.
  • Troubleshoot billing, invoicing, provisioning, and subscription issues.
  • Ensure accurate and timely delivery of all customer invoices.
Subscription & Invoice Management
  • Oversee subscription lifecycle (creation, changes, renewals, cancellations).
  • Manage bundles, add-ons, and billing rules in Dynamics 365 Product Catalog.
  • Resolve billing errors and invoice discrepancies in coordination with Finance.
Automation & Optimization
  • Configure pricing, discounts, and billing logic to align with business rules.
  • Identify and implement automation opportunities to reduce manual tasks.
  • Monitor provisioning via Microsoft Partner Center integrations.
Customer-Facing Support
  • Maintain customer self-service capabilities with Office 365 authentication.
  • Support portal access to invoices, licenses, and subscription controls.
Reporting & Collaboration
  • Generate reports using Work365 analytics to identify errors or revenue gaps
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external support for complex issues
  • Document workflows, train staff, and promote best practices
Qualifications:
  • Experience with Work365 and Microsoft Dynamics 365.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft CSP and cloud subscription models.
  • Understanding of billing systems, ERP/accounting integration, and payment platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a mindset for process optimization.
